After a mind-numbing series of generic Marriott Courtyards and their ilk, it is refreshing to be staying at the Stoney Creek Inn, a hotel that prominently features a giant plastic moose guarding the entrance. We're relatively happy to find ourselves deep in the heart of Moose Country here in St. Joseph, MO and although we haven't checked in, thanks to a ludicrously early flight, and have yet to discover any latent horrors associated with actually occupying a room, we were enormously cheered by the sight of the resin-cast behemoth that greeted us upon arrival. Though I do think this speaks volumes for our rapidly deteriorating mental condition at this point in our trip. -GB
